Week 4 kicks off with a Thursday Night Football showdown between the Jacksonville Jaguars and Cincinnati Bengals at Paul Brown Stadium.
There will be plenty to watch in this contest, such as the last two No. 1 overall picks, quarterbacks Trevor Lawrence and Joe Borrow, going head-to-head, and whether Cincinnati’s defense can remain an early-season force.
The Bengals, 7-point favorites over winless Jacksonville, have one of the top-ranked defenses in the NFL and they are coming off a two-touchdown victory after holding the Pittsburgh Steelers to 10 points.
Find out if we like Cincinnati’s D to stay hot and cause issues for Lawrence in our free NFL picks and predictions for Jaguars vs. Bengals on September 30.

The NFL odds have plenty of tricks and treats on the Week 8 odds board, but how you bet these lines could make the difference between getting a full-size candy bar for Halloween or just those nasty caramel kisses. Ugh.
Getting the best number for your opinion is step No. 1 is smart sports betting, which is why I scan the opening NFL odds every Sunday night and highlight spreads and totals to bet right now — before they move — and others to bet later, after the adjustments.
Here are my “Bet Now, Bet Later” lines for NFL Week 8.

It’s Wild Card weekend in the NFL odds, and the weather could not be more wild. The Dolphins vs. Chiefs weather report suggests that record-cold temperatures could be in store, while the Steelers vs. Bills weather report calls for cold temperatures and strong winds in the aftermath of a blizzard. The Wild Card odds have been impacted drastically.
I think Mother Nature will have a major impact on both those games, even in spite of the latter being postponed from Sunday to Monday, so each one will be featured in my NFL parlay picks. I’m also taking the Texans and Rams to improve upon their Super Bowl odds. Join me as I give out what I hope will be two lucrative NFL parlays for Wild Card weekend!

The Green Bay Packers take on the Tennessee Titans in NFL betting action this afternoon.
Green Bay pulled off the upset with Malik Willis at quarterback last week, but my Packers vs. Titans predictions for Week 3 are counting on his luck to run out.
Here are my best free NFL picks for this September 22 contest.
Packers vs Titans prediction
My best betTitans -2.5 (-115 at BetMGM)
My analysis
Don’t be scared off by Jordan Love practicing for the Green Bay Packers this week, since books seem convinced he won’t suit up. He was initially expected to miss 3-6 weeks with an MCL injury and oddsmakers have stuck to the Titans as faves, with the line only briefly slimming to -1.5 on Wednesday when Love said he was “hopef…
“Wigan scored seven in the first half against Hull last week. Is this a record in a professional domestic league game?” asks George Jones.
Wigan’s extraordinary romp had everyone scrambling round the memory bank and/or the nearest Rothmans. The ambiguity of the above question meant a few of you sent in examples of crazy scoring in the second half of games, so let’s deal with those first.
“Brighton beat Walsall 7-0 in 1976, having been goalless at half-time,” notes Roger Kay. “Peter Ward got four and Ian ‘Spider’ Mellor three. It was a little ironic as we’d been royally whupped by Walsall 6-0 only two years previously.”

Italy midfielder Andrea Pirlo has announced plans to retire from international football following the 2014 World Cup.
The 33-year-old Juventus star feels the time is right to move aside to allow the next generation of players to flourish.
Pirlo made his senior Italy debut in 2002 and was part of the side that won the 2006 World Cup in Germany, holding his nerve to score in the penalty shoot-out victory over France in the final.
Having represented his country for over a decade, Pirlo is ready to focus his attentions fully on extending his club career, insisting he will carry on playing for Juventus.
We have to leave space for the youngsters to come through, said Pirlo at the launch of his new autobiography.
At club level I will continue playing as long as I feel the desire,…
Crystal Palace fans will be delighted by Wilfried Zaha s decision to sign a new five-year contract at Selhurst Park, ensuring the club s joint-highest Premier League goal-scorer can continue to inspire the Eagles as he did in 2017-18.
Roy Hodgson s men were reliant on the sharp-shooting 25-year-old last season and lost all of the 10 games they played without him on the pitch.
As well as being a major contributor of goals, netting nine in the league last term, Zaha is a catalyst for Palace and, who have scored 43 goals with him in the team since the start of last season, compared to just four without.
Since the start of 2017-18, Palace average 1.5 goals per game when Zaha plays versus just 0.4 goals when he does not.

If you were not sure how much Euro 2016 meant to Cristiano Ronaldo, well, now you know.
For the first time since making history by winning their first major tournament in July, the Portuguese Football Federation (FPF) released behind-the-scenes footage of captain Ronaldo delivering a rousing speech to his team-mates after trumping hosts France 1-0 to claim the European Championship.
Already visibly emotional on the pitch following Portugal s extra-time win over France, Ronaldo who was forced off the field with a knee injury in the first half was even more passionate in the dressing rooms, praising everyone from the head coach to the medical staff and security.
The three-time Ballon d Or winner, though, did single out coach Fernando Santos, while dismissing his l…
