Italian newspaper La Nazione reports that Fiorentina have opened negotiations to sign Werder Bremen players Marko Arnautovic and Sokratis Papastathopoulos.
Having really raised the club’s profile this season, mostly thanks to the heavy summer recruitment, the Artemio Franchi outfit want to continue squad rebuilding process in the summer.
According to La Nazione, they are already in talks with Werder Bremen to sign Marko Arnautovic and Sokratis Papastathopoulos.
With star striker Stevan Jovetic widely tipped to leave the club in the summer transfer window, Viola hope to replace the talented forward with the Austria international.
Arnautovic, 23, has some Serie A experience, having spent the 2009/2010 season on loan at Inter.
On the other hand, they are looking to reinforce their back line with Greek defender Sokratis Papastathopoulos.
The 24-year-old has played for Genoa and Milan in Italy after leaving AEK Athens, and he now looks set for Serie A return.
