data-mm-id=”_uin00je9k”>Buddy Hield has been moved to the bench and Bogdan Bogdanovic will replace him in the starting lineup as the Sacramento Kings attempt to turn their awful season around. Hield has taken a huge step back this season just months after he agreed to a four-year, $86 million extension. His struggles line up perfectly with Sacramento's terrible campaign. The Kings will start Bogdan Bogdanovic in place of Buddy Hield league sources tell @ShamsCharania and myself. The Kings have lost six straight and 15 of 18— Jason Jones (@mr_jasonjones) January 24, 2020The Kings finished 39-43 last season and looked to be ramping up for a playoff run during the 2019-20 season. Instead, they're languishing near the bottom of the Western Conference at 15-29. They have currently lost six games in a row and 15 of 18 entering Friday's matchup with the Chicago Bulls. For some reason Sacramento just can't figure it all out. Hield is a perfect example of what's going wrong with the team. The 27-year-old is averaging 20.0 points, 5.0 rebounds and 3.0 assists in 34.4 minutes per game. But his underlying numbers have all taken a step back. Last season he hit 45.8 percent of his field goals and 42.7 percent of his 3-point shots. This season, he's down to 41.6 percent from the field and 36.0 percent from 3-point range. And he's taking more shots from beyond the arc, the number has increased from 7.9 attempts per game to 9.8. Hield's efficiency numbers have suffered as well. He reached career-highs in points per 40 minutes (25.9) and PER (17.60) during the 2018-19 season. This year he's down to 23.3 points per 40 and his PER has dropped to 14.47, his worst number since his rookie season. Last season, Hield posted 5.9 win shares and a career-best .108 win shares per 48 minutes. This year he's down to 1.3 win shares and .042 win shares per 48. His value over replacement player in 2018-19 was a career-best 2.1, and is down to 0.5 this year. As you can see, Hield's underlying numbers are much worse across the board this season. He's having a down year and if it's a sign of things to come, his contract could be an albatross for the Kings long-term. Sacramento is an absolute mess this season and Hield is a big part of what's going wrong. It may take a complete front office overhaul to turn things around, as Vlade Divac's tenure has been a disaster.

We worked on that, trained really well, played well at the weekend. This place will be rocking tomorrow night. This is going to be a difficult place to play.

Tottenham should not have been surprised by how Antonio Conte s time at the club ended as he goes into conflict with everyone , says Christian Vieri.
Conte joined Spurs in November 2021 after the sacking of Nuno Espirito Santo and guided the north London club to a top-four Premier League finish at the end of his first season.
Despite sitting fourth again this season, performances under Conte were hugely inconsistent with Spurs falling to disappointing exits in the Champions League and FA Cup in recent weeks.
Following an explosive press conference in which the Italian labelled his players selfish , he left the club on Sunday.

Mauricio Pochettino wanted Christian Eriksen s future resolved before Sunday. Tomorrow, we are going to know if Christian is going to be with us or not. That s the most important thing, he said the day before.
The fact the midfielder was thrown back into the starting line-up for the north London derby suggests this particular transfer saga has, for now, been paused. This felt like a message to Real Madrid, and any other suitors, that Eriksen will be a Tottenham player after Monday s European transfer deadline.
We need to wait, he said to Sky Sports after the game against Arsenal. But that [performance] showed that Christian Eriksen was alright. That was an understatement.
If there have been any doubts about the commitment of Eriksen, who has admitted he wants a …

According to a recent report from Mundo Deportivo, Barcelona are willing to let Phillippe Coutinho leave the Nou Camp on a permanent basis for a fee of around £70 million. If they did so it would lead to a fairly substantial loss on their investment, considering they brought him in for around £146 million from Liverpool just two years ago.
He’s currently out on loan with Bayern Munich, although Baern aren’t willing to action the option to buy clause of around £102 million. As a result of this, Barca will be forced to haggle, as they attempt to work out the best possible deal with Bayern – which could see the Bundesliga giants be on the right end of a bargain if Coutinho is able to keep up his current run of form.

Jose Mourinho has compared Tottenham s Champions League final defeat last season to an unsuccessful moon landing.
Under the guidance of Mauricio Pochettino, Spurs suffered a 2-0 defeat to Premier League rivals Liverpool in their first ever Champions League final.
Mourinho, who won the Champions League with Porto in 2004 and Inter in 2010, was appointed as Pochettino s successor last week and accepts the defeat to Jurgen Klopp s side might still be having a lingering impact on his new players.

While the London-based outfit might have only just clung to their League Two status last season, Johnnie Jackson’s men are now dreaming of the chance to mount a genuine play-off charge. Although the Dons might have opened 2024 with a 1-1 stalemate away at Forest Green, the former Charlton boss has seen his squad lose just one of their previous six fourth-tier appearances. Zlatan Ibrahimovic will bring a winning mentality back to Milan, according to Sampdoria coach Claudio Ranieri.
Ibrahimovic has returned to Milan for a second spell with the Serie A club after leaving Los Angeles Galaxy.
The 38-year-old spent 18 months with the Galaxy, scoring 53 Major League Soccer goals, and was linked to numerous clubs before settling on a return to San Siro, with Milan languishing in 11th place.
